A while ago when I wanted to try fuchsia and light pink lippie. Ended up buying more than I need!
L'Oreal Color Riche Lipstick in Touch of Amaranth and Pink Retro - Since it was buy 2 for $30, I wanted to get a fuchsia and a light pink one. I really don't know how I ended up getting 2 fuchsia looking lippie without a light pink one! Anyway I only tried the Pink Retro and it's in the colour that I wanted. Still not that daring enough for the striking colour, so I usually just dabbed a bit around the lips, purse my lips and try to spread it around so that it is not too bold.
Revlon Colourburst Balm Stain in Cherish Devotion (Matt) - Marketing and adverts do work cos I can't help but feel tempted to try after seeing Emma Stone in all those ads. Revlon had a buy 2 get 1 free at Watsons and since my sis wanted a lipstick too... I helped her by getting the other 2 items. Light pink lippie was harder to pull off than I imagine. Somehow it only looks good with full makeup and non-blemished fair skin in my opinion. But it is in a nice shade of pink!
Revlon Photo Ready 3D Volume Mascara - My current mascara is a little difficult to wipe off and I always had the intention to switch to another mascara. Have not tried this yet but hope this is waterproof, smudgeproof and doesn't require me to tug my skin during removal.
ZA Perfect Fit Concealer - My first concealer to date. Starting to get eyebags and pimples (like why?? when I don't put makeup daily now) now so I thought I should try if this makes a difference. Impulse buy. I am just too lazy for an additional step and covering pimples in makeup should not be advised right? I guess I will only use this on days when there's a need to cover all imperfections.
L'Oreal Blusher in Blushing Kiss - have been using orangey, earthier toned blusher for a while and suddenly felt like switching back to pinkish tones. So I bought this blusher which has a pretty packaging. I like how the blush colour is a combination of 3 different shades of pink and comes out lightly on the cheeks when brushed on, since my cheeks kinda turns a little pinkish under the sun already.
Also purchased 2 Sally Hansen nail polishes cos it was buy 1 get 1 free
. Can't wait to use all of them!
And my holy grail for the moment? Shu Uemura Eyebrow Manicure in Honey Glaze.
I'm blessed with thick black eyebrows which I just groom them by threading them about once a month and keeping them in shape every now and then. But after I coloured by hair dark brown, I felt my jet black brows just does't suit me anymore and I tried using eyebrow pencils in different shades of brown to try to soften the look but somehow all the browns are still too dark and made me look like 蜡笔小新.
Until I found this! I chose the lighter shade (honey glaze) and brush it lightly on my brows and it immediately soften the whole look. I love this!
To achieve the korean looking brows, I cheated by using brown eyeshadow to brush and shape up my brows first before finishing off with this eyebrow manicure by Shu Uemura.
This costs $42 (somewhere there la) and is worth every cent. However, I will still search for something which hopefully can give me similar look with a more budget friendly price for everyday use.
