Being a Westie, I've passed by this place many times but didn't have the opportunity to take a closer look at these old houses. What is unique about this estate is that they are HDB houses, but are built similar to landed properties. We spotted a similar concept at Whampoa area before and many of the units look very modern after renovation.
Of course with the space limitation here, HDB most probably will not be able to build such homes anymore.

Weather was great and we managed to walk all the way from Jalan Bukit Merah to here!
Ending the day with a Meiji Paigen drink which tasted like Yakult!
