Love holidays and weekends now cos I get to dress up and go out! #woesofbeingunemployed
Went to NEX and had KFC for lunch since I had a free voucher and we were craving for a Banditto!
D was right, it's yummy! Ordered a choc cake too, which was suppose to be molten but wasn't. Only redeeming factor is it was rich without being too sweet.
Sakae sushi for dinner. The salmon sashimi plate was awesome and it always feel good to have something soupy to warm the tummies as well. Also used vouchers for this meal!
Woke up early to queue for Mitju Warehouse sale on Good Friday but was sorely disappointed! Unlike the past 2 years when we bought loads of cheap shoes, we went home empty-handed this time!
I had no choice but to do some retail therapy at a nearby shop. Bought a nail foil to try since it was priced at only 1 buck. Then I got overboard and bought French nail guide sticker and nail art paint brush for another dollar each, nail diamonates and nail art glue.
Then with an Étude membership I got a cheaper eyebrow manicure brush - Colour My Brows in red brown as well as a gel-like nail top coat at a discount.
Felt so good with my buys today!
Started Saturday with a long rest. Since I had no appts till evening I decided to start on my potential job written essay and did some online stuff.
Dinner with D's family was fantastic with my suggestion at New Ubin Seafood after the first time during my birthday with the girls.
Recommended the superb steak that comes with potato wedges and beef fried rice. D's mom just kept repeated that 'it's good' over and over again. The whole plate was gone in minutes.
This time with more and bigger eaters we could order 3 crabs since it's at buy 2 get 1 free! Tried the chilli crab and butter cream crab. Haven't found a chilli crab better than Long Beach's. As for the butter cream, it is thick and creamy yet light enough to not make u 'jerlat' at all.
Fish was fresh. Didn't really eat much of this because I'm really slow at eating crabs and it was gone by then.
Chocolate Alexander - choc molten cake with ice-cream. Wasn't satisfied with the KFC's version the day before so I just had to eat another one. This was a little better, warm on the outside, cold and melty in the middle but doesn't taste good enough.
This little bowl of durian goodness for 5 bucks. Yums!
