Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park + Grub

D and I love visiting places of nature and history, as well as estate visiting. All free of charge, hee hee. I always feel that there are so many places in Singapore that can be explore, not just places for brunch and watching movies and shopping malls, etc. Moreover, Singapore is moving so fast-paced, I don't want to regret not visiting some places after they are being demolished.

At Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park. They have this little river stream which is beautiful! Saw little dogs hopping on these rocks, so cute!

Then we spotted Grub, a popular brunch place in the park and decided to go in for some food!

I just came here a while ago with my girlfriends and I find the food okay only. Heard the churros were so-so only, plus they are actually quite easy to make at home with really simple ingredients so no point paying so much for them outside.

The Sticky Date Pudding. The combination of vanilla ice-cream on top of a hot caramel dessert can't go wrong. Just like ice-cream with hot fudge brownie. Just found the serving a little small. (not sure why, but it's not in the menu anymore)

D's Chicken Cheese Chilli Hot Dog.

The last time I came I had the Crispy Fish Burger which is recommended. The fish was huge and sandwiched between two burger bread with thick fries. It was not bad! We also ordered mentaiko fries to share and we really liked the mentaiko sauce! The only thing is most of our mains came with fries already so it was really like double portion of potatoes to finish.

Was suddenly inspired to do a series of #viewofanant photos. But I realised it's not as easy as I thought of it to be. Totally love this photo though!

Strolled further into the park and spotted this lotus pond. It was lovely!

It's spotting this little beautiful places that makes exploration so amazing and happy. Like you thought it's just a simple walk in the park, then you spot a little river stream, and now you come across a pond filled with lotus plants!

How often do you get to see a lotus plant upclose?

We also spotted a family of birds along the pond and decided to follow them. We felt quite bad after that because we forced them to go into hiding which led to the separation of the parents =X Saw them frantically hopping from one lotus leaf to another after keeping their babies safe in the bushes.

Nature is really beautiful and amazing, isn't it.

Till our next visit here!
