This week we explored Bukit Purmei, a rather secluded area near Redhill/Henderson road.
Took a short bus ride and alighted outside St. Theresa's Church.
Some of my photos here were inspired by an Instagrammer, @patriromero, who gives attention to things that matters through the simplicity of the photo.
An instance where a church and temple are situated side by side.
A typical HDB sight.
Stumbled upon a vintage shop under a HDB block, amongst coffee shops and convenience stores. Stuff are not cheap but it's worth a look, with dresses, handbags and accessories from the 60s - 90s. Love those clip-on earrings!
There is a little park and a hill just next to the blocks too and we decided to climb this, after spotting a hut-looking structure above.
It wasn't as tedious as I thought it would be and we were rewarded with a good view of Singapore here!
Rare moment when D asked me if I wanted a photo.
It was only when we were up and saw faces of tourists did we realised we climbed up to Fort Canning. Rang the bell of happiness together!
Little bells to replace the usual locks for couples to signify their love for each other.
Next thing I worried about was how to go back to ground level. The sweltering weather was so unforgiving I was actually worrying about more freckles forming on my face.
Had to pass the Henderson bridge to reach civilisation!
Love the structure of the bridge and the shadows that were casted from the scorching sun. But we were really melting and just can't wait to hide in an air-conditioned place.
Satisfy my korean crave with some ramen!
That marks the end of this week exploration. Good work out I must say!
