Hai Di Lao Hot Pot

Finally got to try Hai Di Lao with the girlfriends! Managed to make a booking on a Sunday evening 2 weeks in advance. However they could only allow the timing to start at 5pm.
We chose the recommended tomato based soup which was yums! Tasted like minestrone soup. And also the seafood base soup which was rather bland in the beginning but tasted quite refreshing after dipping too much into the tomato soup.

Ordered a variety of thinly sliced beef and pork, cod fish fillet, meat balls, prawn paste, dumplings and fresh vegetables and mushrooms. Food was quite expensive, with the veggies going for abour $14 per plate and the meat was above $20.

Also ordered the famous handmade noodle just to watch the performance of them swinging the flour around you. The amount of noodles were really miserable though.

We went on the day of Star Awards and that's Jo and I going crazy over Wu Zhun on teevee!

It was a good experience! The service was excellent with allocated staffs serving our table and attending to our needs. Hair ties and plastic covers were provided for our long mane and phones. Our bags were covered with a cloth and aprons were hung on our chairs in case we needed them.

There were manicure service too, but cos we didnt need to wait, there were no time for that too. Moreover there was only one manicurist at that time. It was only on our way out that I realised there were snacks and drinks for those were were queuing as well! Some were folding paper cranes and I heard you get a free plate of food for XX no. of cranes folded.

Would go back there again for the service and perhaps the snacks and manicure again someday!
