This time, Essentials sent me another pleasant surprise - new set of Light Finish Volumizing for my flat, limp and fine hair, together with the Deep Cleansing Care range and 2 massage shampoo brushes!
Lovely package with happy colours!
Just like combination skin, our tresses can also be of combination hair type. What that means is your scalp may be oily with dry ends. The solution to this is to target both problems with Essential's two new range of shampoos!
Essential Light Finish Volumizing Shampoo and Conditioner (For flat and limp hair)
Leaves flat, limp hair airy light at the roots yet moisturized at the ends.
Essential Deep Cleansing Care Shampoo and Conditioner (For oily hair)
Leaves oily hair refreshed at the roots yet moisturized at the ends.
Since I have really fine hair which makes my hair looks overall flat and limp, my shampoo routine was to use the light finish volumizing range on my hair nearer the scalp, and the deep cleansing care range at the ends of my hair. It does takes up a little more time and requires more effort. But that's what you got to do for healthier hair, right?
Essential always leaves my hair feeling surprisingly nice-smelling and smooth when I finger comb through them whether wet or dry. This is due to their optimum combination of Smart Cuticle Care and Sebum Cleansing Technology that gives you airy light roots and moisturised ends.
Another hair saver form Essentials is this new massage shampoo brush.
Apparently, many Japanese women uses this hair tool as part of their hair wash routine. This massage brush not only removes dirt and sebum more effectively, the massaging action also helps in blood circulation and promotes relaxation. Now you can have your own scalp massage at home!
I personally love this because I tend to perspire a lot or have itchy scalp sometimes, which caused me to have the habit of scratching hard at my scalp while shampooing my hair. I know how damaging that can be but it always feel more "effective" and less tedious than massaging using my fingers. With this new brush, I can be assured that my scalp gets a good massage without causing hurt to my thin and fine hair as well! I also love my manicured nails and with a brush to aid the massaging, it means less damage to my nails!
Instructions to use Massage Shampoo Brush:
2. Hold on to the brush handle between your index and third finger as seen in the image above.
4. Rinse off shampoo and apply conditioner as per normal.
5. Rinse the brush gently with water and store it in a well-ventilated place upside down or hang it up with a string through the hole at the handle.
The first few days of using this brush, there was a little "achy" sensation as if not used to being massaged upon. I can't really describe the feeling, but it was sensitive as if not being massaged or well-taken care of for a long time. Days after massaging my scalp, this feeling was gone and it actually felt good, as if my scalp was healthier and stronger. You need to try it to understand what I mean!
I kept the hot pink brush for myself and gave the mint green to D who was delighted and loved it just as well!
For a limited time only, Essential is giving out a massage shampoo brush with purchase of a shampoo and conditioner set.
