Review: Veet In Shower Hair Removal Cream

Recently chanced upon this new product from Veet while searching for a hair removal cream for my hairy legs, and I thought, why not, saves me that extra time in the toilet! So here's my thoughts about this.

Before this, I was using Veet's other hair removal cream where a scrape is used to apply the cream over the hair you want to remove. After 5-10 minutes, the cream can be scrapped off and the unwanted hair will disintegrate and removed together with the cream. I expect the cream to be rather strong in the chemicals in order to be able to disintegrate hair so quickly. No doubt, it does have a rather strong chemical smell as I spread the cream evenly on my legs to ensure it covers every single strand of hair I want to destroy. But for smooth and hairless legs, I don't mind.

This In-Shower Hair Removal Cream works similarly, just that it saves you that few extra minutes sitting on the toilet bowl, stoning/play Candy Crush/surf Instagram for that 5-10 mins to pass by.

Instead of a scrape, this product comes with a double sided sponge. The pink side is used to apply the removal cream on the body part to remove the hair. I thought the sponge spreads the cream more smoothly and evenly as compared to the scrape.

After 2 minutes, step into the shower and start bathing as normal. This hair removal cream contains water-resistant ingredients that allows you to shower while it does its job. Some cream will definitely come off while bathing, but the 2 minutes before that together with the water-resistant effect is sufficient to ensure the product works just fine.

After another 3 minutes in the shower, it's time to see the results! Using the white side of the sponge, brush away the cream and the disintegrated hair will be wiped off too, leaving your skin smooth and hairless! Remember to rinse your skin thoroughly after removal, since afterall it's still chemicals on your skin.

Even though I don't have sensitive skin, I chose the cream for sensitive skin since it should be somewhat milder yet does the same job. Remember to screw the cap of the cream tight and clean the sponge and dry it well to maintain it's effectiveness.
