Overall verdict?
I'm always changing shampoos because my mom believes that sticking too long to a particular brand is not good for the hair (I'm not sure about that?). So currently I'm using switching between a japanese brand shampoo and another USA brand natural shampoo which also uses natural ingredients and is SLS (sodium laureth sulphate) free. Not lying, but I've been having an itchy scalp ever since. It may not be due to the latter since I use it about twice a week and started using that before the former and had no issues... but something is definitely not right about it. It was only when I'm reviewing about this, after my bath, researching about the chemicals, that I realised, hey, my scalp doesn't itch today!
I hate having itchy scalp not only because it is irritable, but because as I scratch, I know I am indirectly damaging and breaking my hair, which because it's fine, breaks very much easily. The itchiness sometimes last till the next day morning too.
Unlike other off-the-shelf shampoos, Giovanni shampoos seems to be less foamy and wash off more easily, which makes my hair kinda tangle a little more especially when I forgot all about massaging and crunches all my hair up in a mess when I shampoo. This is where the conditioner makes all the difference to smoothen out the strands and even out the tangles. So remember to use them together.
