My current miracle bottle for my hair:
Tsubaki Hair Oil, elixir for my hair!
Formulated with high concentration of selected camellia oil, it deeply protects, moisturise and repair my hair, resulting in a luxurious shine. This oil also protects my hair from damage by UV rays and heat from hairdryers and other styling equipment, and prevents split ends and hair breakage.
My hair, naked as can be.
Just I have naturally frizzy and fine hair, which has always been troubling me. Rebonding is an option for frizzy hair, but it will make my hair flatter that it already is. Highlights, curling, can resolve my fine hair by making it look more layered and voluminous, but too much chemical is bad for my hair, which can lead to damaged and breakage in my hair. Here my hair already looks not too bad because I did cosmo straightening at Shunji Matsuo just about a month ago.
Gonna put the oil to test!
Step 1: For mid-hair length like mine, drip about 3-4 drops (20-cent coin size) of the oil on your palm. This step is made easy with the dropper head which drips the oil out drop by drop.
Step 2: Spread the oil between your palms and work through your hair. Make sure you go through all parts of your hair to ensure even application!
Step 3: If required, spread another equal amount and focus on areas that require extra application.
Personally for my thin and fine hair, stopping at step 2 will be ideal. Gauge the amount for application each time, start from the damaged tips and gradually work up to the roots. Try to apply by brushing your fingers through your hair instead of using your oil-filled palm to press against your head.
If you are the lucky ones blessed with a thick crown, you can try applying an appropriate amount on wet hair and dry it with a hair dryer. Spread a small amount onto your palms and apply on bottom half of your hair to reduce volume if preferred.
Before trying the oil, I was quite skeptical about the effectiveness of this product on my hair. I mean, I've been using hair oil/serum for ages and they all basically do give me relatively smooth and manageable hair after application. But having visible results which can be seen with our naked eyes? I'm not sure about that. But Tsubaki Hair Oil proved me wrong!
My verdict: I think my pictures above explains it all. Look at the difference with the hair oil and without. My hair looking instantly shiner and livelier than before! The oil penetrates into my hair upon application and does not feel oily or greasy after use. Hair was definitely much smoother as well!
Recipe to nice-smelling hair? Seeds extracted from quality and fully ripe Camellia plant + Cassis plant (like blackcurrant) + Iris plant = a combination of fresh fruity and floral scent.
Sad to say, this product though come in a pretty red bottle, it's made of glass and not advisable for travelling. Extra care needs to be taken for girls with thin and fine hair as well! Just a few drops will do the trick! You won't want your hair to look limp and flat.
If you are interested to try out this product, it will be made available at Watsons from 11 September 2014 onwards. $26.90 for 60ml of goodness!
Love,
M
