Desaru Getaway (Day 2)

Morning breakfast part 1 - Asian food

Breakfast part 2 - Western food

Decked in The Clutter Bug Shop's accessories for the day!

Love the weather and the blue sky!

Soaked in the pool followed by a stroll by the beach. Ended up back at the seafood place for lunch!

D's favourite satays. But.. the satay here is made and marinated differently from Singapore. Meat was a lot softer with a tinge of sourness.

My ultimate choice - marmite chicken, both of us love it!

Lunch cost: 76RM

My love for accessories - Straw hat and Sunnies from Cotton On, Cordelia Necklace and Festa Bracelet from The Clutter Bug Shop.

Birthday Boy in his bithday swim shorts!

Saw this rock formation and can't help but force D to snap a pic.

See how empty the beach is?? Found ourselves a good spot and jump into the sea to play!

We packed all touristy activities on the first day to have a more relaxing Sunday, so it was eat, pool, beach and eat again!

So here we are, buffet for dinner! The price was really reasonable at RMB58+ per adult, but.. we had special student discount - 104RM for 2 pax! There's bbq meat, and lots of other exciting food! I'm not sure if there's any special with the food since this was during the fasting month, but they were really sweet to have our names to welcome us on our reserved table =)

Tom yum soup where we choose our own fresh ingredients and cook them ourselves! Non-spicy soup available too.

Aww, my favourite! Took a little bit of each and stuff myself silly.

The elaborate setting.

There! The tom yum self-service. Desserts at the back!

It was a reasonably priced with reasonably good food. A great way to end the day!

Ending the day early after a scrumptious meal!

Had a good rest and tried to start off first for some sea sports. D wanted to do this the day before but the weather did not allow it. So here we go!

I really enjoyed my first try at parasailing at Bali many years back, and I never thought I would felt so free and comfortable up in the sky so high up without any fear at all. So I really wanted D to experience the same thing. Cost 100RM per pax, which is considered cheap in comparison to other countries already. Couldn't bear to part with another 100RM to take this again here though. haha.

And there D goes!

Called in room service for lunch. 32RM for this.

And a last stroll before we go back to sunny Singapore.

Desaru is not a first choice for many for a short getaway, but for a quiet, laid back and affordable beach experience, this is definitely not a bad idea!

Till next time we meet again!
